Make THE PLACE online My Homepage


Your browser’s “homepage” is the webpage that you see each time you open a new browser window.

To set THE PLACE online as your homepage, follow the instructions for your browser:

If you’re running a browser other than those listed above, refer to your browser's help file for instructions on setting THE PLACE online as your homepage.

Internet Explorer 8.0, 7.0, and 6.0

To set your homepage to THE PLACE online in Internet Explorer 8.0, 7.0, and 6.0 on Microsoft Windows:
  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box (in version 6.0, it is the Options dialog box) appears.
  2. On the General tab, in the Home page text box, type http://theplaceonline.com.au.

  3. Click Apply, and then OK.

Now, every time you start Internet Explorer, your THE PLACE online page appears.

Firefox 3.5

To set your homepage in Firefox 3.5 on Microsoft Windows:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box appears.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click Main.
  3. In the Home Page text box, type http://theplaceonline.com.au.

Now, every time you start Firefox, your THE PLACE online page appears.

Firefox 2.0 and 3.0

To set your homepage in Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 on Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X:

  1. On a Windows PC, from the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box appears.
  2. On a Macintosh, from the Firefox menu, select Preferences. The Options dialog box appears.
  3. In the Options dialog box, click Main.
  4. In the Home Page text box, type http://theplaceonline.com.au.

  5. Click OK.

Now, every time you start Firefox, your THE PLACE online page appears.

Safari 3.x

To set your homepage in Safari 3.x for Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows:

  1. On a Macintosh, from the Safari menu, select Preferences. The General dialog box appears.
  2. On a Windows PC, from the Actions pull-down menu which looks like a gear, select Preferences. The General dialog box appears. Note: You can also choose Preferences from the Edit menu on Windows.
  3. In the General dialog box, click General (if it’s not already selected).
  4. In the Home Page text box, type http://theplaceonline.com.au.

  5. Click the red X button to close the dialog box.

Now, every time you start Safari, your THE PLACE online page appears.

Opera 9.5

  1. From the Tools menu, select Preferences.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. In the Startup pull-down menu, click Start with home page.
  4. In the Home page field, type http://theplaceonline.com.au.
  5. Click OK.

Now, every time you start Opera, your THE PLACE online page appears.

WARNING: If your homepage changes and you did not change the setting, your computer might be infected by spyware, adware, or other harmful software. You need to remove the harmful software from your computer.
